About the Event

This critical concern is ever-present in our media and was emphasized by Adat Shalom members during our Community Meetings. We are called by our Jewish tradition to help the stranger. Listen to a panel discussion of local policy and practice experts on the needs in our local communities and how you can help, moderated by Adat Shalom’s Jerry Kickenson and followed by a Q&A.

Participating are: Luz Chavez Gonzales, Montgomery County Immigrant Rights Collective lead organizer and Students FAIR (Friends of Asylum and Immigration Reform) advisor; Jhosse Rivera, CASA Manager of Individual Giving and Allies Network; Rachel Snyderman, HIAS Program Coordinator for Community Engagement, and Ioana Stoica, Maryland Community Organizer, Jews United for Justice.
