Rosa's journey into our community with her family continues!
But Rosa could once again use your help to complete her transition to independence for her and her family.
Please give if you can so that Rosa and her family can stay in their home while Rosa seeks full-time employment by clicking on the Donate button below.
Read more below about what Rosa has been up to this past year out of sanctuary, and about her exiting plans for 2022!
As you may recall, Rosa was granted a stay of removal just over a year ago, enabling her to leave sanctuary at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church and live in the community with her children.
This was a giant step for Rosa and her family. Now she is ready for her next big step towards independence and a new life.
This year, while taking care of her children and working as a key leader for immigration justice with the Congregation Action Network, Rosa attended classes at Montgomery College and has become certified in child care! She is now looking for full-time work. With a full salary, and contributions from her adult son, Rosa can be fully independent. But she needs our help to complete this final leg of her journey.
Please consider donating so that Rosa and her family can stay in their apartment while she is looking for work and her children comlete the school year.
Rosa is immensely thankful for all your help this past year, and while she was in sanctuary. And we are thankful for the blessing of knowing Rosa and her family.
THANK YOU!
