MD to DC DACA March to SCOTUS/Solidaridad con la marcha DACA
Time & Location
About the Event
Join more than 130 DACA/TPS marchers from across the nation on the last leg of their march from New York City to the Supreme Court. Meet the marchers in Hyattsville at 8:45 a.m. and end at the Supreme Court around 11:15 a.m.
Let's make it over 500+ local immigrant justice advocates walking the last 2.5-hour leg to support the DACA marchers and the DACA program. We need to be highly visible (marchers and signs!), letting all undocumented immigrants, policy makers, legal teams, SCOTUS justices, and the media know that DACA is here to stay. (NOTE: After the march, marchers will stay in local church hostels until the Nov. 12 #HomeIsHere rally at the Supreme Court.)
The DACA case is the first immigrant justice lawsuit during this administration to reach the Supreme Court, and therefore the pivoting leading edge for decisions on immigrant justice suits to follow. We need to show SCOTUS clearly by our strong numbers and public voices that the DACA program and all immigrants matter.
Note: There are no Metro Stations within 3 miles of CASA or for later access along the march route.
