Sanctuary Support Training
Time & Location
About the Event
Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda has been the Sanctuary home for Rosa Gutierrez Lopez for over a year; and her 3 children now make this their home, too. Providing comfortable and safe surroundings for this family takes the combined efforts of about 250 volunteers - about half of whom are from Cedar Laners and half from affiliated congregations and groups, along with individuals who are drawn to assist this effort.
We need your help. There are a great variety of jobs ranging from picking up groceries to spending the night. Volunteers for most jobs "sign up" when they are available, so it needn't be a huge time commitment. The only job which requires Spanish is translating/interpreting.
You can register online for to attend a training/orientation - https://forms.gle/AUWfQ7EhemqG6vhB6. Training sessions are presented in a small group where you can meet several of our leaders and other potential volunteers, and have a chance to get your questions answered. Upcoming training dates are:
Sunday, March 8, 2:30-5 p.m., Cedar Lane Chalice House
Thursday, March 12, 6:30-9 p.m., Cedar Lane Chalice House
